InBoxee - email client for Google Inbox App Reviews

4 Customer Reviews:

Had I known that before buying this app I would have saved money and had an even more functional standalone Google Inbox app. The ONLY this Inboxee wrapper adds over Google Chromes native standalone Inbox for Mac is a alive email count icon in the upper menu. That is it and that is not worth any price, not even at 80% off (offered at the time of writing this review). I bought at 40% off the week before it dropped to 80%. My guess is the developers know this app is pointless on a Mac unless you are only running Safari. Buyer beware.

The best Inbox client I’ve used. Only change needed is the option to not receive notifications for categories like Promotions, Updates, etc. A primary inbox notification only option would make this app perfect. Thanks!

Wish there was a demo version because I just wasted $4 -there is no inbox screen like they show, it has no ability to essentially change anything from chrome. So what I have is a page that looks just like chrome in a window. Also when clicked new compose got nothing - nada - just a popup which says loading and never changes - Wish I could get a refund and the developer actually represented why this does not work

Several features don’t work properly. For one, nothing happens if you click Accounts -> Add Account. However, if you click the user icon and sign into a second account like you would using a browser, then Quit InBoxy and relaunch.. now the account appears and can be toggled using keyboard shortcuts. The click-drag area for moving the window around the screen is also absurdly small. The region should be the entire blue title bar, minus the search box and other items.. but it isn’t. Rather, the area you must grab with the mouse is only the narrow horizontal strip seen in old OS X apps before the advent of the larger window title bars. Fix this, please? Right now performance and account-switching speed greatly exceeds Boxy.. so I’ll keep your app, if these bugs are fixed.. ‘cause right now they’re basically impairing the usability too much but I WANT to use InBoxy.
